Roatan, the largest of the Bay Islands of Honduras (Roatan, Utila, and Guanaja) is a world-class premier diving destination. Wall diving in Roatan is renowned with walls as shallow as ten feet and increasing in depth to over several hundred feet. Visibility is usually about 100 feet and water temperatures are normally between 80 and 90 degrees.

Roatan has over 800 different species of fish, one of the most diverse populations in the Caribbean. In many places, Roatan’s reef extends up to the surface, making an ideal site for easy snorkeling right off of the shore or the dive boat.

Native Sons at West End
Native Sons Dive Shop is located approximately 100 yards from the end of the main road as you enter West End. Turn right as you leave the main paved road, and you will find Native Sons on the right next to Chillies in Half Moon Bay. You can choose para-sailing, scuba diving, or fishing activities. Native Sons accepts credit cards. Native Sons provides PADI certification through Dive Master. Instruction can be given in Spanish and English. Small, personalized groups are formed or private instruction is available. Basic open water courses include comprehensive instruction to achieve the first dive level certification.

Ocean Connections at West End
Ocean Connection is located in Roatan’s West End and offers a full diving program including NITROX. Certifications from open water to divemaster are offered. Specialty courses include underwater naturalist, cavern diving, and photography. A maximum of six students per class. Ocean Divers is located on the beachside of the West End dirt road about 100 yards from the main road turn off as you enter West End.
Paradise Beach Club at West Bay
TGI Paradise Beach Club Dive Center. A PADI 5 Star Center which opened in 2001 and offers courses from Discover Scuba through to Assistant Instructor and a wide variety of specialty courses. The instructors are speaking English, Italian, German, and French. There is also a personalized video editing room available for aspiring dive instructors. We organize two diving excursions each day at 9.00 and 14.30. There are also regular night dives on Tuesdays or by request with a minimum of 4 persons. A Discover Scuba experience is free for everybody staying in the resort. For non-divers, we have many other sporting activities.

We are a small and friendly scuba diving and Watersports operator catering to multiple hotels and resorts in the eastern half of Roatan. We are located at Brick Bay Resort on Roatan’s south side. We specialize in catering for your own personal sense of adventure. Subway Watersports offers single dives, dive packages, and snorkeling trips on the Roatan’s spectacular sheer wall on the island’s south shore. We are the closest shop to Mary’s Place, the most popular dive site in Roatan and offer regular day trips to Cayos Cochinos and Barbareta. All of our PADI diving courses are held in small-sized classes and given by flexible and experienced dive instructors. Attractive Hotel/Dive packages are available.
