Our Boats: Bottom Time and Rum Runner
Our primary boat Bottom Time is the pride and joy of Coconut Tree Divers. Measuring 37 feet long with an 11-foot beam and powered by an inboard 240 horsepower engine, she is the largest boat operating out of the West End. She has a large swim platform for easy giant stride entries and a sturdy ladder for simple exits. Our commitment to quality service means that we keep our dive groups small, so you will always have plenty of space to set up your equipment, move around, and relax without feeling crowded.
Why waste valuable dive time ferrying back and forth from the shop? With our spacious capacity, we offer two-tank dive trips every morning to all the sites in the West End and Sandy Bay Marine Park. Help yourself to our on-board ice water, soak up some rays on our large bow, or escape the heat in our covered shade while we drive to the next dive site.
Your safety is our priority. Captain Carl, with over 25 years of boat captain experience, is always onboard, alert, and ready to help with anything you need. We also always carry two tanks of emergency oxygen for treating decompression illness, along with a full first aid kit, spare equipment bag, and emergency broadcast radio. Our goal is to make your diving as fun and safe as possible.
Our secondary boat is the 18-foot skiff Rum Runner. Powered by an 80-horsepower four stroke engine, she is guaranteed to transport her 10-tank capacity to the sites with amazing speed. Rum Runner is stocked with all the same safety features as her sister ship Bottom Time: emergency oxygen, first aid kit, spare equipment bag, emergency radio, and onboard ice water.
